NOTE: Finnan's website gives 1987 as the date for this cover, but this cannot be correct, as I have a matte version specified as a 1985 printing, as well as an even older matte version which, judging by the Carpentieri guide, appears to date to 1982. The Carpentieri guide indicates that the second cover switched from a blue spine to a tan spine in 1981, so 1982 would seem to be the earliest possible date for the switch to the third cover. (But this is pure guesswork on my part.)
